the monterey bay aquarium was pretty cool, but lacking. seth loved it though, holy crap they had so many different jelly fishes. i thought he was going to have a siezure from the squee.

Barnacles! A lot of them! The sea life is amazing and we haven't even been to the aquarium yet. We've seen sea lions and harbour seals and sea otters, all in their natural habitats!

We found this little cove underneath some buildings where little things that looked like sea anemones were living. Huge boulders and little hermit crabs and lots of birds. I like parts of this more than san diego.

some things to look forward to
9 days until the fake problems show. never ever have i fallen in love with a band so quickly, especially a band i first heard at a show. they'll be playing at the modified and holy fucking shit i haven't been this excited since i stepped out of seth's car after getting home from bonnaroo.
12 days until i move out to bigger and better things. actually, the apartment is smaller and it's a huge pain to get to work from there, but i'm looking forward to living with megan. i've got some big plans for living in tempe again. hello, social life.
26 days until my 21st birthday. holy moly!
40 days until i head out on another road trip, this time it's to vegas for bonnaroo's sister festival, vegoose. coming along with be my incredibly amazing friend betsy. i'm so very excited. we'll be staying at the luxor, i'll have just turned 21 and i'm ready to party. I'll be sending photos to this blog much like i did with the bonnaroo blog seth and i had. it's my goal to make out with an elvis impersonator so i'm sure these photos will be entertaining. i can't wait.

bonnaroo is now a mere 11 days away, and the excitement could not be higher. our groceries and supplies are bought, the laundry is in piles waiting to be washed, and the ipod is loaded with bonnaroo musicians.
i believe this is going to be the best thing that's ever happened to me.
i'm leaving my fears here in mesa. the moment i walk out my front door towards a silver civic will be the moment i'm free from any inhibitions. i won't dance like no one's watching, i'm going to dance like i'm surround by 80,000 people and just don't care.
i'll introduce myself as suzy and won't think a second about it. gone will be my self-consciousness. i won't worry about my hair, about my makeup, or whether those jeans make me look fat. my size 18 ass makes me look fat, but for 16 days it won't matter. i won't hold back, i'll be the girl i know i am.
i won't rely on alcohol to be social and at ease. it's all in the head, and i've got my mind set on making friends.
when we leave friday morning, i'll be the independent girl i've always dreamed of being.
and when we get back, i'll just be santa again. but i'll have some wild stories.
